Barrierline

Delete your Barrierline account

You can delete your login from inside the app, or ask us by email. Either way, this page says what goes and what stays.

In the app

If you’re a technician

  1. Open Barrierline and tap Me.
  2. Tap My license, alerts and sign out.
  3. Under Your login, tap Delete my login, then confirm.

If some of your work hasn’t reached the office yet, the app asks you to get signal and sync first, so what you did today reaches the office before your login is deleted. A login that isn’t on a team (the office removed it, or it was made with a wrong invite code) has Delete my login on the screen it lands on.

If you’re office staff and use the phone app

  1. Open Barrierline and tap your initials at the top right, or tap More.
  2. Tap Settings, then the Account tab.
  3. Under Your login, tap Delete my login, then confirm.

Office staff who only use the office website: write to us (below). Your owner can remove you under Team, which ends your access but doesn’t delete your login. You can also sign in on the phone app: a removed login has Delete my login on the first screen it shows.

If you’re the owner

  1. Open Barrierline and tap your initials at the top right, or tap More.
  2. Tap Settings, then the Account tab.
  3. Tap Close the company, then confirm.

That is the owner’s login, so it closes the company’s account. You get 90 days to download the company’s records from the office website (Settings, then Download everything). They come as spreadsheets; photos and videos open from each visit’s record. Arizona makes a pest control company keep its service records for 3 years, so download them first. After the 90 days, the company’s data is deleted. Until then the app and the office website keep working, but the alerts the server sends on a schedule stop: a stop not started, a phone gone quiet, termite reports coming due or late, licenses and warranties ending, customers who might leave, the evening summary and tomorrow’s route. Choose Keep the company open at any time and they start again.

Closing isn’t the same as cancelling a paid plan (the terms, sections 7 and 8): the 90 days start the day you close, whatever you have paid for. To keep the service to the end of a paid month or year, write to help@barrierline.com before you close.

By email

If you can’t use the app, write to help@barrierline.com from the email address your login uses, with the subject “Delete my login”. We reply to that address to confirm before we delete anything.

What is deleted

  • Your login, and the email address it uses.
  • The name, email and phone number the office typed on the invite you joined with.

What the company keeps

The service records you finished stay with your pest control company. That means the visits, the products applied, the photos and the signatures. They belong to the company, not to Barrierline, and Arizona requires a pest control company to keep its pesticide application records (3 years). Deleting them is the company’s decision.

Your name and license number stay on the records you finished, because Arizona requires the applicator’s name and certification number on each one. The company also keeps what it has on file about you: your name, license number and phone number in its team list, the messages you wrote, and your clock-in and clock-out times.

If you’re a customer of a pest control company and want your details removed, ask that company first. Your information belongs to the company you hired. If you write to us, we’ll pass your request on to them and help them answer it.
