Can the app be in Spanish?
For techs
Yes. The tech screens on the phone can be in Spanish, and so can the customer’s own page. The office website cannot.
How do I switch?
- Open Me.
- Find Language · Idioma.
- Tap Español. The app redraws in Spanish right away. Tap English to go back.
A phone whose language is set to Spanish starts the app in Spanish. You can also switch on the first screens, before you sign in.
What changes and what stays English
- The tech screens change: buttons, messages and the pick lists for pests and areas.
- Records, reports and messages to the office stay in English. The screen says so under Language · Idioma.
- Pests, areas and other things you pick are saved in English, so the office, the customer’s report and the state’s records read the same for everyone. Only the button shows Spanish.
- The “on my way” text is written in English, because the app doesn’t know the customer’s language. Edit it before you send.
- What you type yourself is not translated. Neither is what the office typed: a checklist, a station’s location, a note. They stay in English with Escrito por la oficina en inglés under them. Nothing is translated for you.
- The four one-tap replies to the office show in Spanish and are sent in English.
- The demo’s lines are in Spanish too, like Ruta de práctica at the top of Today in the tech demo.
The office website is in English only.
The customer’s page can be read in Spanish. It follows the customer’s browser. At the top they can tap English or Español, and the page remembers their pick on that device. Product names, EPA numbers and the label’s words stay as they are on the record.
Good to know:
- The Spanish has not yet been read by someone who works in the trade. Don’t count on it being perfect.
