Send a customer their own page, and ask for a Google review

For the office

A customer’s page is a link they open with no password, and you send it yourself. It shows their next visit (when one is booked), what was done at their last visits, and any termite bond or warranty. They can ask you to move the next visit, ask a question, and rate their last visit. It has no prices and no office notes, but each past visit shows the tech’s notes, so write those for the customer to read. For a customer you have cancelled or marked do not service, the link opens a page that only says the account is closed and gives your phone number. It does not show a termite bond or warranty then. They can’t ask or rate from it. It opens as before if you make them active again. A move-in does not put a visit on this page: the last-visit date it keeps from your old system is only on the office’s page for the customer.

Send a customer their page

  1. Open the customer and press the Their page tab.
  2. Press Copy the link. The link also appears in a box, with Open it to see what the customer sees. (Show it displays the link without copying it.)
  3. Paste the link into your own text or email.

Barrierline does not send it for you. It cannot text or email customers from the office yet.

To stop an old link working, show the link, press Make a new link…, then Make a new link. The old one stops.

What happens when they ask or rate

When a customer asks to move a visit or asks a question, or rates a visit, it goes to your Inbox and to the customer’s Feedback tab. The tab lists How they rated us and They asked. A rating of 3 or less shows in a warning color. The customer is told you will call or text them, so you do. Moving the visit is up to you on the Schedule.

They can rate their latest finished visit if it was in the last 30 days, and can change the rating later.

Set your Google review link

  1. Open Settings, then Reviews. Only the owner can change it.
  2. In your Google Business Profile, open Ask for reviews and copy the link.
  3. Paste the whole link into Your Google review link. It must start with https://.
  4. Press Save.

After a customer rates a visit, their page shows Write a Google review. Leave the box empty and press Save to remove it.

Good to know:

  • Every customer who rates gets the review link, whatever stars they gave. Google forbids asking only the happy ones.
  • The page is in Spanish when the customer’s browser is set to Spanish, or when they press Español at the top. Product names and EPA numbers stay as on the record.
  • Anyone who has the link can open the page, so send it only to the customer.
  • A visit report emailed from a finished visit has no link to the page. The page is still sent by hand.
