Add products, check their labels and see what is on each truck

For the office

Products is the list your techs pick from on a stop. The Trucks tab on the same page shows about how much of each product is left on each truck.

Add a product

  1. Open Products and tap Add a product.
  2. Fill in Trade name, EPA reg. no. and Active ingredient.
  3. Pick the Label unit and Tech enters amount as.
  4. Write the Usual mix rate as a percent of active ingredient, like 0.06%. A ratio like 1:100 is refused when the tech enters gallons of mix. For a bait or a ready-to-use product, leave it empty and pick another amount unit.
  5. Pick the Usual method. Tick Restricted-use pesticide if it is one.
  6. For a termiticide, search the On Arizona’s termiticide list (for the TARF) box and pick it. This fills the product code the state’s termite report asks for. Leave it blank for anything else, because only termiticides are on that list.
  7. Tap Save. Phones get it when they have signal.

From the label. Under From the label, copy the mixing table, coverage, re-entry hours (or the label’s words) and a link to the label. The phone then does the label’s arithmetic for the tech, and the longest re-entry goes on the customer’s report. Check each number against the label. The list shows “Label complete”, “Label partly entered” or “Not entered” for each product.

Hide a product. Tap Hide at the end of its row. It drops off the phones. Records already made do not change. Show brings it back.

What is on each truck. Open the Trucks tab. Under On the trucks:

  • Ask a tech to count sends the ask to their phone. The number updates here when they answer.
  • Count it yourself records a count you took. Added some, in a row’s menu, records a restock.

About left is the last count, plus what you added, less what the tech applied since. A newer count always wins.

Running low is one rule on the website and on the owner’s phone. A product is low on a truck when the tech said so (their “Running low on this”), or when the truck holds under a sixth of what was counted and added. Each line says which: “Marcus said low”, or “under a sixth on the truck”. If a count no longer adds up (more was used than was counted), the line says “the count no longer adds up”, and you count it again. The notice at the top of Products (“Marcus and Sam are running low on 3 products.”) and the count beside Products in More on the owner’s phone are the same number. Once a tech’s ask is on the truck, tap the Stocked, tell button with the tech’s first name on it.

Short for stops coming up appears when a tech asked for a product, or the count says the truck is out or will run out, and a stop coming up needs it. Tap the Warn button with the tech’s first name on it to tell their phone, or use the Give … to… menu to hand the stop to another tech. The menu shows how much each truck has, or “not counted”.

Good to know

  • Truck numbers are an estimate for planning, never a record.
  • A product never counted on a truck is never called short.
  • Short stops come from job sheets, so a product has to be on one.
